The Store Has Arrived
Thu Oct 23, 2003
The Metal Head Online Line Store has officially gone live. You can now purchase a copy of the Liquid, Mad Hadder, Epicenter and PMM/Syverson and Daudelin albums. In addition, you can also pre-order the Rob Miller solo project (to be released on new year's eve). To access the store, click the Online Store link at the bottom of every page. There will also be a link on the main page replacing the old CDNow.com link.
So what else will the store have? Well in the short run, we hope to add a few more CD's, such as Forsaken Truths and Crystal Pool of Faith when the are finished. We could also release some video from Sean's and Epicenter's private collection on VHS and DVD.
As for the long run, we may eventually look into shirts and various miscellaneous items.
We'd love to hear about what you think of the store and hear any ideas that you may have on expanding it! Please feel free to email us and let us know.

Finally Air Time
Sat Oct 11, 2003
Although it's defiantly not through mainstream channels, Sean has been receiving some air time. First, the local channel in Milford has been broadcasting the Rob Miller concert from the summer almost every week for the past 2 months, and hopefully will continue to do so.
Metal Head Radio has been running here and there, playing all of the usual classic Sean stuff. Other songs have just been added to the play list. Once all of the albums Sean is on (2 LP's and a EP) there will more Sean stuff on Metal Head Radio.
Most importantly, the demo for the Rob Miller solo project has been receiving air time on the college radio station WSAM Black Out.
As for Forsaken Truths, they are currently seeking out a singer to join the group. Once a singer has been recruited found and is recorded, copies of the demo will be created via the Metal Head duplication factory.

New Email and Forum
Sun July 20, 2003
The email and forum pages have been revamped to use databases and .asp scripts instead of using front page extentions. This should eliminate any problems with those pages, and is nessisary for the preperation of the upcomming web site for Forsaken Truths, which will be hosted on the same server.

Forsaken Truths: Guitars Done
Thu July 10, 2003
Although one more overdub may be added, for all intensive purposes, the guitars are finished with recording. All of the drum tracks and guitar tracks have been cleaned as well. While no bass was recorded this weekend, the vocals for the first song was done. These vocals are intermediary until we find a full time singer. The reason we are using intermediary vocals is to help increase our chances of air time and venues that we can play at.
The majority of the vocal tracks may be recorded and cleaned by the end of the week. More updates as they come available.

Forsaken Truths: Drums Done
Sat July 5, 2003
The drums are finally done, and this time we mean it (you can only fit so much on one CD). There has actually been one more song made since the last update, so that is now 10 songs that will be on the album, all of which the drums have been record for. Since there will now be an hour of music, there is a good chance that the drum solo will be removed form the disc. If that is the case, expect to find some exerts of the solo on this website.
Now that the drums are done, the last of the drum tracks will have to be cleaned, which will be done by the end of Friday. Guitar's only have to record for this one last song and get cleaned for this song, and songs 8 and 9. That should be taken care of by the end of Sunday.
Then it is on to bass which needs to be recorded for three songs and then cleaned. And of course, we still need a singer, but if a full time member can not be found, some substitution will be made. Expect to see another update on Sunday or Monday.

Review: The Miller Show
Fri June 13, 2003
Unfortunately, the police came before the show was half way through, but luckily the band only had to turn down instead of stopping. They did however have to turn down an extreme amount, which left everyone playing feeling upset. One number that did get cut was Sean's new 9 minute drum solo, so everyone is going to have to wait until the next show to be able to hear it. Thanks to everyone who came to the gig and showed their support. Sean has been out of gigging for a while and this show and the last Forsaken Truths show (at Lowell) will hopefully be the first of many shows Sean will be playing.
If you have any feedback about the show, please feel free to sign the forum, that is what it it there for. If anyone needs a band to play a show for them, please email Sean so details can be worked out. Thanks again to everyone.
P.S. Special thanks to Mr. and Ms. Miller for letting us play there and supplying the food.

Sun June 8, 2003
Sean's home studio has seen another upgrade last week with the inclusion of studio monitors. The monitors are from M-Audio and are the BX-8 model. In addition to this, Sean has also purchased another short mic stand, two gold tipped guitar cables, two new pairs of headphones, a pop screen and a Yamaha keyboard over the past two months.

Forsaken Truths Demo LP
Sat June 7, 2003
The decision has been made to continue working on the demo until it is a full length album. Most of the writing has already been finished for it, with the near completion of the last two songs. The only parts left to write are lyrics and guitar solos. Drums should begin recording for this in about a week. The other parts will record after the drums finish.
The group is still working on getting a session vocalist to record on the demo. And of course, we are really looking forward to the possibility of playing shows before the summer comes to an end.

R.I.P. Shawn G. Meade
Wed May 14, 2003
As many of you may already know, Shawn Meade (Liquid, Liquid Butane, Mad Hadder) passed away earlier this week. I wanted to post something about it the night I found out, but I was at a loss for words. I spent some time remembering Shawn and the time we played together. I pulled out the old Liquid demo and gave it a listen, and played out some parts on my drums again. I went over the old shows in my head.
I thought about the band sessions we had every week for over a year like clock work. We would practice, write, shoot the shit, and just hang. I remember the pedal he got one Christmas, the guitar he got one birthday, the time my parents brought us to see the Metallica laser light show at the Boston Museum of Science.
I went over in my head about how much I grew with my instrument as a result of playing with Shawn. It was my first band and I had no clue what I was doing, but really neither of us did. Songs became slightly more complex and varied as time went on. We began leaving behind the notion of being a drummer or a guitarist. Instead, we were becoming musicians. Together, we wrote out first songs, made our first solos, drew our first band artwork, and played our first shows.
But Shawn was more than just a great player, he was a great friend. And it is this that will be missed most of all about Shawn. I don't know how to explain a friendship in words, so I will not bother trying. I would just like to sum up that Shawn was a best friend to me for quite a while. He was welcome in my home by both my parents and I whenever wanted. He was never anything less than polite and sociable with all of his friends. And it is safe to say that without knowing Shawn, not only on a musical level but on the level of being friends, I would definitely not be where I am today.
During those band practices in my basement, I never thought that there would be a time where Shawn would never return. In a way, I wish I could have had just one last practice, just hang and shoot the shit with him one last time.
Rest in peace Shawn, you will always be missed.

Forsaken Truths Demo: Half Way There
Wed May 14, 2003
Well, it has been one month since the last update on the demo, so here is where it stands. All of the drum, rhythm guitar, solo guitar, and bass guitar tracks have been recorded. Effects have been selected for the tracks, a rough mix has been created, and all of the recorded tracks have been edited and cleaned up.
As of right now, the band is looking at getting a session vocalist to sing on the demo, and maybe play a few shows down the line. Once the vocals are recorded, they can be edited, cleaned, and then the final mix can be created.
The band has also been working on creating another two songs. The first of which has been in the works for a few weeks now and breaks 10 minutes. The second was just started yesterday and looks like it will be under or around 5 minutes. In addition to that, Sean has also recorded a new drum solo. It basically combines his old drum solo with lots of new stuff at the beginning. The solo is about 9 minutes long.

Review: Show at Fox
Mon Apr 7, 2003
Forsaken Truths shows at Fox went fairly well. The group did a very good performance for the first show, despite the fact that it was a very small crowd. Kudos to Bob Miller and his dad for providing transportation and video taping. Without them, there would have been no show.
