Sean
started the drums in the 4th grade in his school band. He
continued to perform in this and ultimately also joined the school
orchestra. He performed in the pit of the musical "Godspell",
"The Secret Garden", "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown",
"Jesus Christ Superstar", and "The Wizard of Oz".
In the eighth grade, Sean started
a jam band named Liquid.
After a few years, Liquid joined
with members of a band called Butane to form a band called Liquid
Butane. Due to some problems with other band members
though, half of the group was replaced within the following year.
This new band, Mad Hatter, was the
first band that Sean recorded a demo album with. The album
was recorded Live in '98 at his good friend's (Glenn's) studio.
The band played a few shows including their first one in Rhode Island.
After problems with the bass player,
the band recruited a new one and renamed itself Epicenter.
The band decided to keep all songs this time that were not influenced
by the bass player. The band played about a dozen shows under
this name with a few member changes (that's college for yah) and
recorded another demo album during that time (thanks again Glenn).
The band started to fight
around the end of '99. They ultimately broke up in early 2000.
Sean started a new band with some former Epicenter
members and recorded a demo before going to college, which was named
PMM.
During that school year, Sean
and Bob recorded a demo of cover songs and Jams. During the following
summer, Epicenter had a short
reunion to re-write the intro to My World. There was also
a few practices with Ryan Morin and Alec Jackarusso in which some
Dream Theater and LTE was covered.
The end of Sean's second year
of college marked the preparation to start up drum lessons again.
Sean took lesson through that summer from Robert Kaufman, a Berklee
professor. He also cracked down and bought some better recording
equipment, two new mixing boards, six new drum mics, and about 11
XLR cables. Sean used his better sense of time and equipment
recording demos with several people over the course of the summer.
Sean and Ryan Morin threw together a recording of the Dance of
Eternity (DT). Sean worked with Bob Miller on some demo tracks
for his anticipated upcoming album. Sean also worked with Jim
Miller on his upcoming album. Finally, Sean and Eric Syverson
collaborated together to rerecord MiXeR, and to write two completely
new songs.
